shadeslay replied May 31, 2007I would say it's mostly for the entry part. For the exit you should never let it determine your exit. But that being said if you go for a 3:1 you're likely to miss out on some very decent trades. I think one of the reasons why it caught on it was ...
Is a high risk reward ratio overrated?

shadeslay replied May 31, 2007Aye eur/chf, eur/jpy, usd/cad or cad/jpy would be where I looked. Cad/jpy is a 7pip spread for me but sees some nice moves. Right now the cads are in some very nice trends Kind of ruff finding an exact match, the jpy's sometimes move later in the ...

shadeslay replied May 31, 2007I have to stay away for another hour, got stopped out earlier for 7 pips. My rules say not to mess with one that stops me for a few hours.

shadeslay replied May 30, 2007At this point you're likely better off waiting for the news. But ya I'm short, probably get out before the news and re-asses it then.

shadeslay replied May 30, 2007Current down trendline is support now with the 23% fib and the longer term up trendline backing up that support. Converging of the 365sma and 50mma on the 30 min chart and 38% fib are making it a significant resistance level.

shadeslay replied May 30, 2007I would say it depends how much capitol you have to start with, but the 1-3% risk is good for anyone. The leverage can change with smaller accounts. For example with a $5,000 account 5:1 leverage just won't cut it, most of the pro's have a good ...
Really? what leverage and what risk per trade?

shadeslay replied May 30, 2007Nice Currently hitting down trendline and daily s1, with the 38 fib close it's likely make or break for this move. Still good support from the 30 min and 1hr chart, but the 15 is topping out..

shadeslay replied May 30, 2007Really nice PA on the 30 min and 1h charts forming, 30 min is on an upswing. Areas of interest 351 and 363 (50% fib and daily s2). Still cautious on this pair, 5min has mostly run course with 15 min support with little movement (small stop). With ...

shadeslay replied May 30, 200742 (38%) and 63 (50%) fib, possibly areas of interest to determine if it's just a retracement or continuation of longer term trend. Hitting resistance of the 23% fib and closing on the down trendline currently (which is close to the 38% fib).

shadeslay replied May 30, 2007Looks like it could be headed up the 60's. But it's going to be a long slow crawl with the markets winding down. Edit maybe not a long slow crawl, made a nice little jump there.

shadeslay replied May 30, 2007Looks like it could be coming back down now off the bounce of the weekly s1, 50ma (30min chart) and 50% fib retracement level.

shadeslay replied May 30, 2007Talking about the DOW and S&P is it just me or does the dollar do better when they they do poorly? Most the books I've read say the opposite, but that's not my observation.

shadeslay replied May 30, 2007Decent dojo on the 30 min off the 2400 range (possibly forming on the 1h), which is also close the the 4h trendline up (249.70 range), still seems to have some downward momentum. Possible long position if it forms, but still on my toes about ...

shadeslay replied May 30, 2007Getting nice PA on the 30min chart, for a possible fib retracement. Still in wait and see mode, but would likely look for tp in 360 range if PA confirms a retrace. Hopefully out before the news later today.
