We are short on GBPUSD too. After an invalid close below the sell area, the price retraced back to the middle of the channel and now a candlestick has closed in the sell area. SL a little above 1.55396 and first profit target at 1.5458. I don't like ...

On NZDCHF, we also had a candlestick closing in the sell area after London opening. But there are two reasons why I don't take this trade: 1) That channel already gave us its signal on the 18th July 2012 with a candle closing in the buy area during ...

Long entry on EURUSD at 1.2123. SL a little below 1.20608 and first profit target at 1.2185. Long entry on EURCAD at 1.2345. SL below1.23199 and first profit target at 1.2370. Let's see what will happen.

You're right. The same thing happened on EURGBP. Thus I would not take that trade either (again, that's because the candlestick closed further than the buy area).

Today on GBPCHF M15, a candlestick broke out of the channel right at the London Open. But it closed too far, on the other side of the sell area. So we don't enter short. It that case, price will often move all the way back to the buy area on the ...

In the first post I've added the condition that we only enter a trade when the signal occurs during the London or New York sessions. During the Asian session there often false breakouts.

My question is easy: why the indicator is showing 600 pips of profit and when we backtest it, it hardly shows results better than breakeven? I think that's not asking too much. Only taking 5 boxes and showing where to enter and where to exit.

Ralome, I've still noticed some difference between your channels and mines. Could you check the channel on the 15M chart of AUDUSD? My channel is still a bit bigger.

Let's do some backtesting of your trading system which is so wonderful compared with the HDR breakout system. I've backtested your system on GBPUSD M15 using the parameters boxRange = 40 bars and box height = 30 pips. I guess a range of 40 bars is ...
