jesperweber replied Sep 1, 2009OK. The contest has been running for 7 hours. Georgi is circling $25,000 in profit give or take, so let's assume he makes 25% in 8 hours of trading. September has 22 trading days, or 66 * 8 hours. Using compounding, the benchmark to win this contest ...

jesperweber replied Aug 31, 2009MIG Contest — Lion, Just curious, have you entered the contest? I just looked at the results page, after a couple of hours of trading some folks are up by (a ridiculous) 20% or more. So they're clearly over-leveraging, and if you want to go to ...

jesperweber replied Aug 31, 2009At the moment both Tokyo and London sessions are inactive (after hours/bank holiday) and there seems to be no volume in the market. Occasionally my M1 charts actually do not even form candles. So even if the indicator lines up across all timeframes ...

jesperweber replied Aug 25, 2009Was it Keynes who remarked that, "The market can stay irrational much longer than you can stay liquid"? Just being in oversold territory -- and I don't even know what your indicators are -- does not guarantee it will go up. That's an impressive ...

jesperweber replied Aug 25, 2009Buy at market, or stop or limit order? Indicator signal or from support/resistance? Where is your stop loss and what does that mean for risk-reward? How did you arrive at those target levels? Is this scalping or position trading? Just curious...

jesperweber replied Aug 24, 2009I pulled my stop tight to 154.20, as it seems to be having problems convincingly breaking below 154. In any case, the S3 fib pivot and Friday's low at 153.6 is the target for me.

jesperweber replied Aug 24, 20091.6430 is the S1 fibo pivot for today on my charts. 1.6418 was the daily low last Friday, so your TP looks viable to me. I'd probably even let it run a bit more to above the Aug. 19 low by 1.6380, which is where the S2 comes in. jesper

jesperweber replied Aug 20, 2009TEMA vs HA-Smoothed — Hi Lion, I like to work with Heikin-Ashi Smoothed. I also usually try on the indicators that you post for size. When you worked with T3MA as part of xpMA it changed color according to slope, which was visually very easy ...

jesperweber replied Aug 20, 2009Trev, thanks. "Freeman" did the trick and got me in. Only problem now, the indicator compiles "dirty", it doesn't display the way it does in your screenshots. Can you upload the .ex4 or .mq4 file that you have? Having the same indicator would make ...

jesperweber replied Aug 20, 2009Make that four. I'm short GBPJPY from 155.74, SL 157.25 (above last H4 spike to 156.66 and psychological barrier at 157), targeted area initially below 154. The risk-reward ratio is worse than I like, but I was looking for a good entry point on a ...

jesperweber replied Aug 19, 2009What makes you think so? The D1 GBP index (I'm using Liteforex) is close to the bottom of the range it has been holding since early July, and I don't judge the indicators to be in overbought territory. USD index is also not showing particular ...

jesperweber replied Aug 19, 2009Thanks for sharing. I still see room to run and test 154.00 (as per my previous post). So I prefer locking in some profit with a tight stop above current price and then "hope" (oh the dreaded word!) that the BOE minutes due in one hour help push the ...
