Bleek replied Jan 10, 2011Very much so, I took a short from 542 this morning for 'just' 32 pips. That's more than enough. I just took +13 at that equal low around 490 on the M5. I think that's me done for the day.
Cable Update (GBPUSD)

Bleek replied Jan 10, 2011I didn't expect it to move particularly quickly from here, that looks to be the case. We need to see a break of 475 because there's plenty of room down to 430 from there. A break of 510 and we're likely away north until we hit 525-30 where there's ...

Bleek replied Jan 7, 2011They are always half wrong.
I never used patterns or signals for that reason. Might as well toss a coin!Cable Update (GBPUSD)

Bleek replied Jan 6, 2011Well I'm not one of these traders that complains about stop hunting and 'cheating' from their broker be they a bucket, ECN or other. I have four prices feeds, GFT, Alpari, Oanda and LMAX - so +/-1 pip, they all run pretty much in parallel. Oanda ...

Bleek replied Jan 6, 2011I reversed my long at 561, sometimes you need a bit of luck... or is it something else? A naked 5m chart put the odds in favour of a turn around 60, but in reality I didn't know it was going to big that big. I've drawn some 'lines' to illustrate my ...

Bleek replied Jan 5, 2011Not too excited by this trade actually, wouldn't normally trade her - potentially an overtrade (error) to end the day on.

Bleek replied Jan 5, 2011Enjoying Cable today and in fact even over Christmas with low volumes, some interesting PA. Short 544 down to 482 +62 Long 455 up to 495 +40 And finally I've a short currently from 497 (st 15 / tp ~30). Only target 30 initially and then I adjust as ...

Bleek replied Jan 4, 201150 is my typical trade size and has been for many months now, I tried 100 at one stage but even for me that's a bit mad, I'm sure if I tried trading that kind of money I'd end up shooting myself...

Bleek replied Jan 4, 2011As per the attachment, if you have the ticket open each order is executed by one click i.e. clicking buy or sell. No confirmation (yes/no/cancel) is required. So in that respect it's one click and immediate.

Bleek replied Jan 4, 2011I spoke to them about stop orders and it's something they're looking to implement. I also suggested they allow alarms to be set, audible and sms/email based. At the minute I've been using another one of my platforms for alarms and LMAX for market ...

Bleek replied Dec 22, 2010In my mind every price move is working to support and resistance, it's high and low, literally bar by bar of the chart. I don't use conventional support lines but I do respect them i.e. I 'see' them on the chart and they obviously do play a part in ...

Bleek replied Dec 22, 2010Commission free for the first 30 days and then it's $0.25 per $10,000 notional trade thereafter. So in reality pretty affordable and competitive. As for how it works, the three banks that back the system provide the extra liquidity to keep the ...

Bleek replied Dec 17, 2010I pretty much only trade Cable these days, on your screenshot it's a 0.5 pip spread - which is excellent and suits me just fine.

Bleek replied Dec 17, 20102 o'clock in the morning? No wonder the spreads are poor, there won't be any traders online - remember this is a UK product. Here are the spreads as of 1300 hrs (GMT) today.

Bleek replied Dec 16, 2010I rarely trade this late in the day, but I was bored.
I took a long on Cable an hour or so ago, spread was 2.4 pips. Instant fill, again. Just checked in and the spread is now 5 pips or so. It does appear to really widen late into the evening and ...LMAX = revolution?!?

Bleek replied Dec 16, 2010Quite possibly time of year, low liquidity compared to 'normal'. I'll be keeping an eye on the spreads in to the new year, they do seem to tighten up nicely in the morning and slowly widen through the afternoon into the evening.

Bleek replied Dec 16, 2010You're more concerned about how a platform looks than how it performs? If that's the case you need to re-access why you trade! How it looks is irrelevant, it's fully functional and quick to use, I actually like the uncluttered no bull shit look.
