I've just read PDF 1.2 and on the charts it shows Lag1 crossing Lag2 as a signal but there's nothing in the text about a Lag crossover being a signal. Could you explain this please? p.s. I've been using version 1.1 for the past couple of weeks and ...

If only that were so! In reality you'd move the market against yourself with your own trades, even with partial fills!

The 666 number often acts as a pivot in the markets. Gold pivoted around 666 but when it cleared it there was a big up move. The same thing happens with Dow futures and currencies whenever you see the 666 number broken. I see EUR/USD is currently at ...

If you'd followed the system strictly today you'd have shorted just below the pivot and been taking profit right about now for about 500 pips. Very nice. One thing I would add is that the 30 minute rule works fine for most economic releases but for ...

My bracket lines are drawn too close together (within a few pips) with that one. If you're using it on a 5 minute chart it should still use the day's high - daily ATR and day's low + daily ATR. I attach the original script if that helps. The ATR ...

Thanks lucidlamp. Sorry for not being clear. It should be yesterday's ATR but today's high and low, so it would update when a new high or low of the day is made.

IB currently 0.5 pips on cable, OANDA 5 pips! That's 10 times higher! This is almost an hour after the UK news came out.

You're wrong about that. I think that's standard practice with stock trading but not futures or forex where you can move stops and TPs around as much as you like for no charge.

Thanks. In that case the PDF is wrong. It says that for a short Lag2 should be at the top AND pointing down. I think it should say Lag2 should be at the top (for an extended period) OR pointing down. It's only one word but would make a big ...

After a slow start the system worked pretty well this week. Can I just check one thing. Is a short setup the exact opposite of a long setup? In the PDF for the long setup you say Lag2 is at the bottom or trending upwards but for a short setup you ...

I sorted the autopivots by changing the settings to include S/R. I also changed it to ignore Sunday data. Is this right? I assume if you use Sunday data the Monday pivots would be screwed up because Sunday is a separate day in MT with North Finance. ...

On a 5 minute chart it looks like a 20 pip stop would get hit far too often. Has anyone backtested this strategy? If you place the stop above the previous high (or below the previous low) on the other hand you have a much higher % of wins, but you ...

I'm not sure what you mean. I'm talking about the thick red horizontal and vertical lines running through the chart. They don't indicate any entry point. Perhaps Imran left them in the template by accident?
