Slim Buffett commented Mar 28, 2012Interesting side note; Since the first EUR crisis was less than the second EUR crisis and the first crisis sent it to 1.18 THEN to 1.46 or so, does this mean the second (worse crisis) has seen a bottom (@1.25 or so) and will now rise to 1.55 or so ...
Prepare for the Worst in Europe: Ex-ECB Official
-
Slim Buffett commented Mar 28, 2012Prepare for the worst. Hope for the best. And this is something I read constantly a year or two ago: "The Euro is in the toilet... it just can't seem to flush down as fast as the U.S. can print new cash." In the previous "great EUR crisis" before ...

Slim Buffett commented Mar 28, 2012Well, ya' never know. I'm guessing you've read a few articles about America becoming the new Middle East. Look up Williston, North Dakota oil boom or whatever. That would be a paradigm shift. Historically, US equities rise in an election year as ...

Slim Buffett replied Mar 28, 2012The reason that systems come and go is because; 1. It was ridiculous to begin with. 2. Markets change and the system/method is no longer valid. 3. Most importantly, traders change methods more often than markets change direction. Whatever it is, ...

Slim Buffett replied Mar 28, 2012Not that great of a reply. You "assume" that because I'm a new member, that I'm new to trading. If you look at those aforesaid charts and assume that something is true, you're probably not that great of a trader. Is your only method of seeing the ...
My theory about forex market

Slim Buffett replied Mar 28, 2012Your post is true. But it's that recognition that takes practice. Hint; it takes longer to learn to trade forex than it does to learn to ride a bicycle.

Slim Buffett commented Mar 28, 2012Yup. But maybe a good play by China. Find a way to "turn the tide".

Slim Buffett replied Mar 28, 2012No, I don't know why h/her theory is stupid. It might have been erroneous in my opinion and obviously in your opinion. As I said, maybe the post is due to a lack of experience. And maybe after a few times of trying to ride a bicycle you would call ...

Slim Buffett commented Mar 28, 2012No wonder brokers are so greedy. They have to hire a battery of attorneys just to keep up with regulations. Both good and bad. I suppose.

Slim Buffett replied Mar 28, 2012EUR/DKK is not a "standard" or major pair (of course). The pip value is about 1/20th (or so) as that of EUR/USD. Yet the margin required is the same. The ADR is 10 to 14 pips. I don't care to trade that.
Why EURDKK so funny?

Slim Buffett commented Mar 28, 2012The new Bernanke Bounce didn't last long. The "BB" from March '09 hasn't expired though (yet). The markets needed a correction. I'm not the soothsayer to proclaim how scary it will be. But keep that volatility coming.
The ‘Bernanke Bounce’ Didn’t Last Long

Slim Buffett commented Mar 26, 2012Exactly. BB is a master at saying the right thing at the right time. Or master manipulator if you prefer. But it doesn't matter if I get on the right side of the trade.

Slim Buffett replied Mar 25, 2012I agree and I wasn't trying to argue. As I said, maybe it depends on experience and so forth. On the other hand, if you started with a $100 account and always risked 5-6%, it would be the norm. What I know is what has worked best for me. It involves ...
USD/CAD went wrong, tips on money mgmt
-
Slim Buffett replied Mar 25, 2012The post is fairly well said. Perhaps it depends on your experience/system/method. The less experience you have the lower the risk until you "know" you're getting it right. Then, 5 or 6% risk is not too much (IMHO) (and that's all it is; an opinion)
