Technical Analysis Fallacy

If there are differences in closing and opening prices between two different brokers, it will lead to different technical signals. How do we know which to follow? This is one of the fallacy, I think.

Why is this pair called loonie ? Is it because its behaviour is "looney" ? It doesn't seem to have any correlation with other pairs. Seems to have a mind of its own. Anybody have success in trading this pair? Care to share?
