I believe brokers intentionally do slippage knowing it will trigger more stop losses. Do they do 100 pip spikes to get your stop loss? No. At least none that plan on being in business for a long time.

Never hedge within the same pair. No advantage whatsoever. You actually put yourself at a disadvantage due to costs. Just reduce your original position size.
