Simply by waiting for another candle to confirm the supposed break-out. In this case the break-out appeared genuine on the 15m but a look at the h1 & h4 showed it was likely a fake-out. It was a fake-out price then dropped 90 pips.

The line had been moved. As often happens with a breakout, price has come back to the line again. This appears to be wave 4 of 3. If so it could go as high as 1.22. could be more downside first though.?

No. I don't find this goes with the hinged line system unless it coincides with the lines. On the other hand stop orders do as this would be a confirmation the break-out or continuance of the trend
