Weekly goal: grow back to original capital. And then take things from there.

Were you hedged the same pair equally lot sizes both sides? Because unless you had your margin used about the same size of your equity, you shouldn't get stopped out. I didn't feel anything the day of the loss probably because of the adrenaline of ...

Well, technically it's not over yet. There's still $200 in the account and I'll continue to trade. So it's not the right time to wish your condolences yet. If I turned $850 into $3200 like I did, I should be able to turn $200 into $750.

Thank you for the kind words. Basically it was exactly what you described what happened. Equity was about $500, margin used $470, margin level I think 100% and free margin $30 if I'm not mistaken. Balance $7000 if that matters.

Well, the consensus here is that I was lucky to still have the $200 left then. So it's better for me. I'm not trying to blame fxopen or anything, but just wanted to ask here to confirm if things were right to be this way on the broker end. I'm not ...

Fxopen website says Margin Call is when margin level is less than 50%. If I'm not mistaken my margin level was about 100% prior to NY closing. $500 equity and about $470 margin used.

Stopped out by the broker automatically at 5pm EST during rollover. They left $210 remaining. Now if there's still $210 in the account, doesn't that mean that there was enough money to cover whatever it had to cover during swap + wide spreads? If I ...

That's a good quote, I can relate to the "Fail better" part. I'm not calling this challenge a failure because it's not over yet. But I'm just saying that when I look back to what I've done in trading fx, I see that I'm failing better. One run is ...

Thanks for all the messages guys, to ALL of you. It means a lot to me, the interactions, criticisms, advises, compliments, encouragements, etc. But it's not over until it's over. I'm figuring stuff out and I'm working hard on it. Despite 3 or so ...

Well, I have something that is half working. Or I can say it works sometimes. As you can see that's not enough. In that case my job is to figure out why it doesn't work the times that it didn't. So then I can fix the problem and evolve my strategy ...

I got the direction so wrong by being wrong. There's only two though, you're either very right or very wrong.

Have you considered setting up a Trade Explorer? It's obvious that you love to share what you're trading, plus it seems that you're more of a scalper. So a TE I think would be perfect for you. If I were to post all my trading in here, this thread ...

I'm short. TP 139.00
- raphaelfx replied Jun 26, 2017
I think you're safe to hold if you're still short. I'll be bearish (as long as it doesn't break 142.50) and I'm expecting to TP at 140.
- raphaelfx replied Jun 26, 2017
Are you still holding your short?
- raphaelfx replied Jun 25, 2017
lol. If you have the link to the website with the clock, I'd like to see that.

Last week has been my worst so far. I lost 1/3 of the account. I have a lot of catch up to do, realistically I'll try to recover this week aiming to reach somewhere near 3k back again. This week target is supposed to be $3,472.83. 1 $987.19 2 ...

Basically I trade patterns. I try to find them, and then I exploit them.
