i agree game plan is set for JPY, but Obama did have the forex intervention issue formally put on the agenda for thur meeting, which means he wants to make a point of it, at least a symbolic point. SO it would be seen as an insult to USA/Obama if ...

better to do it before meeting, rather than after obama tells him how badly he doesnt want BOJ to sell anymore yen .. not that they wont do it, but it will definitely be harder (politically) to do it after obama tells him face to face to stop..

the meeting is on thursday. I was thinking they might make a move and sell yen before the meeting. it might be harder (politically) to do it day of or day after meeting... just a thought

obama and kan to meet. yen discussion on agenda — i am think more intervention prior to this meeting on thur. i dont think they will do anything thur or fri. so i am think if there gonna do something its in the next 3 days. anyone else agree?
