I'm still demo only and learning, but i know full well that today would have been horribly difficult if I were laying out real $$$$

It's got the gitters .... normally means sudden large swing so trade carefully!

I don't think anyone saw this coming did they? If they did they kept it quiet! I just happened to already be invested and cashed out at 2064

I've got stuff hanging over down to 1980 but 2040 would still be neat!

I think this is what they call retrenching? how far it's going? guesses estimates welcome looks like a small breakout then!

I didn't use this strategy but the principle is 100% correct. The difficulty when trading with small balance is keeping the vol small, at least that's where I fell down. Put a 0 on the end of these figures and you realise that a decent return is ...

Anyone find that gold trading is a bit like golf? It's not how good your best shot is, but how bad your worst one is? If you can get round and end up competitive despite your worst efforts, you have a chance of winning!

I got in at 42 but demo accounts are so much easier. There's no where near the same tension!

Famous last words, hopefully not! I know exactly what you feel, but somehow, gold has an odd habit of managing to spring surprises even when the direction is as plain as a pikestaff. still time for retrenching, although that word means different ...

Any indications which way it will break. I"m only demo atm so it mattes not really, but I'd still like to make a few additional $$$ before I reinvest!

if that's all you've lost .... you're doing OK!

Anyone else detect a lot of sharp movements, about a pip or so which .... come to nothing!? I think they're toying with us? No breakout as yet! Of course as soon as I say that .....
- andrewbarker replied Dec 8, 2023
apart from sideways movement, that is!

How firm was the info for a possible jump to 2045? Was there any timescale involved ie if likely when would it make the jump? I would be quite happy to see it go 2001 as and when it decides to move, if indeed it does move

This may be a rookie question but here goes! Is there any way gold will drop before the end of trading today? Surely everyone has some plan in place to capitalize. Seems like just an easy way to make money, so I can't see it happening. I may be ...

Being a bit of a contrarian I like to think that the market still wants to surprise everybody. Most people are aware that gold has always failed to stay over the 2000 mark so it will not surprise anyone if it slips down. Markets hate being ...

2035 it is then! I shall hold you personally responsible !! akways appreciate your comments!

Straight down would be too easy in my book. I'm more than half expecting a fake upturn to draw in as many buyers as possible followed by a slow sink down. Nothing too dramatic otherwise people will cotton on quickly. Maybe a quick downturn here and ...

Point taken, but .... my info is that it's not as cut and dried as that. Otherwise there would be no requirement for anything else, other than to check on the strength of the US dollar?
