We have too many small bears in the picture, I need to see bigger bears and more of them The next 24 hours is a 50/50 - but I feel confident in shorts knowing the overall long term trend is in that direction. Anything can happen in the interim. Who ...

I'm new to the forum, noticed how most people here are either day traders, scalpers and some wannabees. No animosity from me, just don't like sarcasm sometimes. I wouldn't attempt to skin a cat but it's true there are several ways to skin a bull... ...

A boy eh? Are you in your 60's or something? I was picking your brains, by the looks of things, many people on here are piptakers and scrapers... For your info I'm holding shorts from 1.3485 and 1.3755 with a TP of 1.33 and 1.31, expecting a ...

And Morgan Stanley says 1.30 BTW - Don't Goldman Sachs have a man on the inside in the ECB?

That you're target level? What to you reckon, by Tuesday/Wednesday That's just a hurdle for me, nice but I'm aiming to go lower.

At what point did you enter your short and whats your TP? By the way, your graph looks very similar to the one I drew early today.

Have you set a SL? How long you anticipate waiting to hit your target?

I'm looking at a 30 min chart, could that be a possible Head & Shoulders formation with the head peaking around 1.3812?

Why? I've done it before, it was like a balancing act... one pair countered the loss of the other by helping to increase the available funds. When it eventually turned around I profited from both pairs.

I'm wondering what would be a good pair to go long on to counter my EURUSD short should it continue to rise... EURGBP?

The level I am eyeing is not too far off at 1.3880. What's your short target? Goldman Sachs are going long towards 1.40 whilst Morgan Stanley short towards 1.30 - my hunch is that it may just break the 1.3870-80 and rally towards 1.40xx before ...

Thanks for all the advice guys, I've put my account at risk by not having a more sensible SL. I wasn't monitoring the situation as I've been between many medical consultations but I cannot afford to cut my losses and therefore will try to ride out ...

You're willing to hold out around 500 pips? Did you not criticise my short holdings just last night?
- Kiyani replied Nov 12, 2011
I'm in a similar position, I shorted at 1.3485. I have too much at stake, so I'm willing to hold out up to 1.42 if I have to. But the decision is entirely up to you and whether your account can hold out. If 200 pips is an affordable loss, let it go ...

I'm set up for a similar scenario, I believe we are in a downward channel, the rally is just a short term correction before a further decline towards the 1.30 level and lower through the course of 2012. Whilst the dollar may not be at its best, no ...

to go short is a safer bet... i'd have to let go over 260 pips to go long and who is to say the pair will continue to rally given the state of the ez crisis?
- Kiyani replied Nov 11, 2011
you have that must hope in the euro? we're on a downward channel so good luck. i may just consider moving my sl to 1.40 though i doubt it'll get that far. just the other week i held on to my short at 1.3740, went as far as 1.4247 where i was able to ...

in your opinion, what should my R:R be? alternatively what would you suggest?
- Kiyani replied Nov 11, 2011
i'm not sure i understand your graph, are you suggesting the bulls will still be in the game a little while longer before the bears kick in again? if so, how far do you anticipate the rally to go befoe it runs out of steam?

1.3380-1.3400 initial target then as far as 1.3260 and followed by 1.3145
