No surprise here, Sainz is an amazing chaser. It's leading he has a problem with.

"amateur gold digger" That's cold! Crazy find though!

Wow. Quite the move in the face of these rising interest rates. Coupled with the crazy move in treasuries, the flight is real.

There it is. Another 25bps at least.

Somebody please tell this to the gold price.

Legend.

I dunno John. I wish you were right, but who wants to hold gold when they can get 5% APY on their cash. Might even go to 7%. Russia would need to get way out of control to offset that headwind, and nobody wants to see that.

This is obviously wrong based on what went down this week. Nothing will stop the Fed, short of all-out warfare with Russia/China. That won't happen for at least a half-decade imo. Another meh year for gold? Perhaps.
- Goat replied Jun 14, 2022
That's the traditional view, yes. Gold pays no interest, so it becomes less attractive when treasuries are paying out.

$2,500 is still possible. The ingredients are there! I'm seeing 35% we make it to $2,500, 25% we go to $1,500, and 40% we drift all year. Unfortunately those aren't great odds to structure a trade around.

I'm one of the bulls remaining hopeful.
- Goat replied May 18, 2022
I just spent the last of my BTC on more treasure. I still see ingredients for $2,500 gold, but I realize rates will probably drive the market all year. This trade is more about getting flat on BTC, for which I'm turning bearish.

I think I got this wrong. image Interest rates are turning out to be more important than stability. That shouldn't surprise me.

Gold standard makes sense. Those are the days Putin's trying to return to after all. So he'll us gold as the primary basis with a sprinkle of crypto and a dash of yuan to keep things moving?
