======================== Summary of the below (the short answer): The ideal trigger candle is one that takes place after a pullback and not too far from the origin of that trend. ======================== I can explain where I will enter using a ...

There is always more to learn! I realised that the trigger candle concept is more useful than I originally thought. This is the concept that eurusd-thijs used for his EA that he very kindly made public on this thread. In the EA I have it set to send ...

Even though we've kind of signed off on this thread, I feel I have to comment on what I'm seeing in the forex markets. It seems big shifts are taking place with almost no trading opportunities using the 3x3 method (3 EMAs aligned across 3 TFs), and ...

I'm thinking that this thread has served its purpose. I have learned a lot from it and have been able to focus right in on what works for me and I believe many of the traders who visited here also found value, I hope so. I wish to thank everyone ...

I'm busy with an interesting project. Teaching someone to trade who knows nothing about trading and has only a mobile phone to work with. There are only the basic indicators provided on Android phones, so no EAs or dashboards such as we use here, so ...

Yes, it works with indices etc, but it's important to be familiar with the behaviour of these instruments. They behave a bit differently from forex. Also the scale or size of the numbers you work with, and calculating lot sizes, are quite different. ...

I see you are using a trendline breakout method for your trading. The EMAs show a bearish condition so it means you aren't using an MA crossover method. Have I understood correctly?

It will give the lot size after you enter your SL value. It needs it in points, not pips. So if your SL is 50, enter 500

I hope I didn't persuade you to get out of your long-term trade. EURJPY has taken off! image

Throughout all of yesterday I received only 1 signal from the EA, EURGBP, and I decided against taking it. And that was with the EA set for 3x3, 2x3 and 3x2 variations. And so far the same today. I'm wondering if the long trends we have seen on many ...

I don't have much experience with long-term trades; I try to be in and out the same day or in 2, max 3 days. However, what I notice on the higher TFs is that they appear to be overbought, as do many of the JPY pairs. Price might well continue up, ...

Closed manually for a small profit.

I have had a good last two days so far - 3 winners, one closed manually for a small profit and no losers. I have just checked gains since 1 September - account balance increased by 16%. That's mainly using the 3x3 method or variations of that. This ...

I entered this GBPCHF trade yesterday. It dropped nicely but has now gone into consolidation mode. Hopefully not for too long and hopefully it will explode out of that soon and reach the target image

My USDCAD trade has just reached its target at 1.3781 for a 60 pip profit. Good luck with yours!

This trade gave me a hard time - pulled back and it took ages before it recovered. Have a look at the daily time frame. If I had been relying only on H4 I would have been more concerned and might even have closed this manually as it didn't look too ...

I didn't have a great day yesterday. Altogether I placed 5 trades and all of them promptly went the wrong way, some by quite a lot. One got stopped out, even with using the ADR value for the SL, but the others turned and are now moving in my ...
