Correction nearing an end here...I think one reason gold has not reached new highs this week is because of the strengthening dollar XAU/EUR and XAU/AUD have reached all time highs once more I will double my longs on Sunday and hold for the long term ...

no but seriously... Theres reasons it cant go to 1050 in the short term...everything takes time. If 1050 was in the future it would be several months from now. I dont think its wise to trade gold at the moment. Wait for the direction to become clear ...

only problem could be the extra spread/rollover? or is the spread for Xau/Eur just the spread of the two pairs added anyway? hmmmmm... I use Forex.com they have Xau/Eur

if the euro gets weaker... the dollar will be stronger by comparison and Xau/USD will be held down by the dollar

is it costlier to hold thru the weekend, then to hold thru 5pm intra-week? i just realized few months ago you had to pay rollover on both lol lately ive just been ignoring the rollover and simply holding thru both...wondering what you guys do

Gold exploding here at the eod of US markets it has been these rallies at rather strange points of the day that has made this bull run rather interesting. Now @ 1230 having taken out prior highs.

short? — this is why no one makes money in forex. gold makes a new high and everyone is looking to short it. There is no bearish signal on the graph and absolutely no reason to sell it let alone go short.
