Precious metals futures registered mostly modest gains Tuesday. Gold climbed for a ninth time in ten sessions, but failed in returning to the fifteen-week high settlement level reached on Friday. Gold for August delivery rose $1.90, or 0.1%, to settle at $1,331.20 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
