Peru Copper production up 1.29% in April

Copper production in Peru increased 1.29% to 188,004 tonnes in April from 185,604 tonnes a year earlier, according to latest data from the energy and mines ministry (MEM). Cumulative production of Copper during the first four months of 2019 recorded at 775,154 tonnes, an increase of 2.99% as compared to the production of 752629 tonnes in the corresponding period last year. Lead production rose by 20.39% to 26,841 tonnes in April, while molybdenum gained 12.83% to 2,370 tonnes, the ministry said. Tin production at Peru's lone producer Minsur was up 4.4% to 1,667 tonnes.
