The Conference Board Leading Economic Index (LEI) for China Ticked Up in June

The Conference Board Leading Economic Index® (LEI) for China ticked up by 0.1% in June 2026 to 148.8 (2016=100), after decreasing by 0.3% in May. The LEI weakened by 1.3% over H1 of 2026, a slightly smaller rate of decline compared to the 1.8% contraction over H2 of 2025. The Conference Board Coincident Economic Index® (CEI) for China increased by 0.3% in June 2026 to 160.1 (2016=100), after rising by 1.0% in May.
