US Import and Export Price Indexes - June 2026

U.S. import prices increased 0.3 percent in June, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today, following a 1.7-percent advance in May. Higher prices for nonfuel imports more than offset lower prices for fuel imports in June. Prices for U.S. exports decreased 0.6 percent in June, after rising 1.2 percent the previous month. Prices for U.S. imports rose 0.3 percent in June following increases of 1.7 percent in May and 2.1 percent in April. U.S. import prices advanced 7.1 percent from June 2025 to June 2026, the largest over-the-year increase since the index rose 7.7 percent in August 2022. (See table 1.) Fuel ...
