Annual consumer price inflation was 4,5% in May 2026, up from 4,0% in April 2026. The CPI increased by 0,7% month-on-month in May 2026. The main contributors to the 4,5% annual inflation rate were: • housing and utilities (5,3% and contributing 1,3 percentage points); • transport (9,4% and contributing 1,3 percentage points); and • insurance and financial services (5,7% and contributing 0,6 of a percentage point) – see Table C and Table E.
