UMR notes progress at Namibia copper project, despite delay in concluding legal documents

London-listed Unicorn Mineral Resources (UMR) expects to sign legal documentation for its acquisition of a controlling stake in the Klein Aub copper mine, in Namibia, along with 5.6-million tonnes of slimes and tailings, by the end of June. UMR in November last year signed conditional heads of terms to acquire a 75% stake in the Klein Aub mine for R26.5-million, or about £1-million. At the time, the company said it would initially target the extraction of copper and silver from the slimes and tailings when the acquisition was concluded.
