Import prices were 5.3% higher in April 2026 compared with April 2025. This was the largest year-on-year increase recorded since January 2023 (also +5.3% on January 2022). Compared with the same month a year earlier, the rate of change was +2.3% in March 2026, and -2.3% in February 2026.
