One of Andy Warhol’s Patek Philippes is getting its 15 minutes. A Calatrava (Ref. 570) formerly owned by the late, great pop artist will be auctioned off at Christie’s Important Watches sale in New York this June, where it is expected to hammer down for between $200,000 and $400,000. Warhol was a discerning watch collector, amassing hundreds of timepieces by heavyweights such as Rolex, Cartier, Piaget, and, of course, Patek, throughout his lifetime.
