The primary result of the consolidated public sector was a deficit of R$80.7 billion in March, compared to a surplus of R$3.6 billion in the same month of 2025. The Central Government, regional governments, and state-owned enterprises recorded respective deficits of R$74.8 billion, R$5.4 billion, and R$0.5 billion. Over twelve months, the consolidated public sector accumulated a deficit of R$137.1 billion, equivalent to 1.06% of GDP, 0.65 percentage points of GDP higher than the deficit accumulated up to February.
