German producer prices in March 2026: -0.2% on March 2025
The producer prices of industrial products were 0.2% lower in March 2026 than in March 2025. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that producer prices in March 2026 were up 2.5% on February 2026. This is the largest month-on-month increase since August 2022 (+5.4%). Both the year-on-year decline in producer prices and the sharp increase in producer prices compared with the previous month are primarily attributable to the development of energy prices.
