US Import and Export Price Indexes - January 2026

U.S. import prices increased 0.2 percent in January, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today, following a 0.2-percent advance in December. Higher prices for nonfuel imports more than offset lower prices for fuel imports in January. Prices for U.S. exports rose 0.6 percent in January, after rising 0.6 percent the previous month. U.S. import prices increased 0.2 percent in January following an advance of 0.2 percent in December. Prices for U.S. imports declined 0.1 percent from January 2025 to January 2026. (See table 1.)
