Flash Consumer Confidence Indicator for the EU and Euro Area

In February 2026, DG ECFIN’s flash estimate1 of the consumer confidence indicator2 remained stable in the EU (±0.0 percentage points (pps.)) compared to January 2026 and edged up in the euro area (+0.2 pps.). At -11.7 (EU) and -12.2 (euro area) points, consumer confidence remained below its long-term average.
