Euro area international trade in goods surplus €12.6 bn
The first estimates of euro area balance showed a €12.6 bn surplus in trade in goods with the rest of the world in December 2025, compared with + €13.9 bn in December 2024. The euro area exports of goods to the rest of the world in December 2025 were €234.0 billion, an increase of 3.4% compared with December 2024 (€226.3 bn). Imports from the rest of the world stood at €221.3 bn, a rise of 4.2% compared with December 2024 (€212.4 bn).In December 2025, the euro area balance increased compared to November 2025, reaching an overall surplus of €12.6 bn.
