Spain: Unemployment increased by 30,392 people in January, reaching 2,439,062, a year-on-year decrease of 6.17%
The number of unemployed men and women registered at the offices of the State Public Employment Service (SEPE), at the end of January, has increased by 30,392 in relation to the previous month (1.26%). Total registered unemployment has reached 2,439,062 people. Year-on-year, registered unemployment has fallen by 160,381 people (-6.17%). The seasonally adjusted figure has also decreased, by 25,402 people. By economic sectors, registered unemployment fell in Construction by 3,793 people (-2.13%), Industry by 14 people (-0.01%) and in the Collective Without Previous Employment by 1,755 people (-0.79%).
