Ifo: German business climate declines in December
The business climate in Germany continued to worsen in December, according to a report by the Institute for Economic Research (Ifo) on Wednesday. The related indicator fell from 88 in November to 87.6 in December, lower than expected. The current situation index remained unchanged at 85.6, and the expectations index dropped from 90.6 to 89.7. The business climate sentiment declined in the manufacturing, service, and trade sectors, remaining stable only in the construction sector.
