German inflation rate of +2.3% in November 2025
The inflation rate in Germany, measured as the year-on-year change in the consumer price index (CPI), stood at +2.3% in November 2025. The inflation rate was also +2.3% in October 2025 and stood at +2.4% in September 2025. "As the end of year approaches, the development of consumer prices has stabilised for now", says Ruth Brand, President of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis). She adds: "The increase in service prices continues to drive up inflation. On the other hand, the development of energy and food prices has had a downward effect on inflation in November also."
