What people say and what they do are sadly not always the same. That’s true for many EU countries, who on the surface profess boundless solidarity with Ukraine, but turn a blind eye to rampant transshipments to Russia almost four years after the invasion. Not to mention that financial, humanitarian and military support is very unequal across the EU, with Spain and Italy essentially free riding, even as Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and all of Scandinavia and the Baltics provide lots of support.
