Australia's unemployment rate held steady in November at 4.3 per cent, in seasonally adjusted terms. But the underemployment rate jumped from 5.7 per cent to 6.2 per cent, its highest in more than 12 months. Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) data show the number of employed people fell by 21,300 last month and the number of unemployed fell by 2,100. The size of the labour force shrank by 23,400 people and the participation rate fell by 0.2 percentage points to 66.7 per cent.
