Silver Prices Poised for 6% Weekly Gain as Chinese Metal Inventories Sink to 10-Year Low

Silver futures slipped during the quiet US Thanksgiving trading session, a day after soaring above $53 on dwindling Chinese inventories. The white metal has garnered renewed momentum in recent sessions, fueled by intensifying investment and industrial demand. March silver futures tumbled $0.192, or 0.36%, to $53.415 per ounce at 12:29 GMT on Thursday on the COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. Silver prices are on track for a weekly gain of more than 6% and are up almost 83% this year.
