Few first speeches of new Federal Reserve Governors attract much attention, but Stephen Miran’s was bound to. President Trump had complained for months that the Fed was keeping monetary policy too tight, and then nominated Miran to help change that. Miran’s CV does not suggest that he is a fringe pick.
