Aluminium prices on the European LME held their high levels in September, even rising by more than 2.1% compared to the previous month. Although US Midwest aluminium premiums eased marginally in recent days, at USD 1,616.93 per tonne they remain only a few dollars below their record value from September 2025. Compared to the previous month, premiums still posted a significant increase of more than 20%.
