The number of job openings in the United States remained unchanged at 7.2 million in August, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics report published on Tuesday showed. Additionally, the job openings rate was also unchanged at 4.3%. According to the Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS), the number of hires stood at 5.1 million in August, as opposed to 5.3 million in the previous month. The rate of hires came in at 3.2%. The number and rate of total separations in the reported month was little changed at 5.1 million to 3.2%.
