Gold and Silver futures reached multi-year highs
Gold futures traded higher for a second consecutive session and moved to a new all-time high, trading up about 2%. Silver was a leader, reaching its highest level since May 2011. Ongoing negotiations about the U.S. debt appear to be a primary catalyst for the buying in the metals markets.
