Canada industrial product and raw materials price indexes, August 2025
In August, prices of products manufactured in Canada, as measured by the Industrial Product Price Index (IPPI), increased 0.5% month over month and gained 4.0% year over year. At the same time, prices of raw materials purchased by manufacturers operating in Canada, as measured by the Raw Materials Price Index (RMPI), declined 0.6% month over month and rose 3.2% year over year. The IPPI increased 0.5% month over month in August. Higher prices for chemicals and chemical products, meat, fish and dairy products, motorized and recreational vehicles, and primary non-ferrous metal products contributed the most to the ...
