US Import and Export Price Indexes - August 2025

U.S. import prices advanced 0.3 percent in August, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today, following a 0.2-percent increase in July. Higher prices for nonfuel imports more than offset lower prices for fuel imports in August. Prices for U.S. exports increased 0.3 percent in August, after rising 0.3 percent the previous month. Import prices increased 0.3 percent in August following an advance of 0.2 percent in July and a decrease of 0.2 percent in June.
