In July 2025, timely foreign trade data reported a trade deficit of $17 million. This balance compares to a surplus of $514 million in June. The decrease in the trade balance between June and July resulted from a reduction in the surplus of the non-petroleum products balance—which fell from $2.982 billion in June to $2.125 billion in July—and a smaller deficit in the petroleum products balance—which fell from $2.467 billion to $2.141 billion in the same comparison.
