Pressure on at Jackson Hole
Last week was data-heavy: while the US showed mixed economic signals, there were signs of slowing activity in China. Europe exhibited uneven trends, whereas Japan’s economy accelerated and India’s credit rating got a boost. Major global equities closed the week higher amid risk-on sentiment and Fed cut hopes, while benchmark 10-year US Treasury yields rose. The dollar softened, and oil prices also eased.
