German wholesale prices in July 2025: +0.5% on July 2024
The selling prices in wholesale trade were 0.5% higher in July 2025 than in July 2024. Compared with the same month a year earlier, the rate of change was +0.9% in June 2025, and +0.4% in May 2025. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that wholesale prices in July 2025 fell slightly by 0.1% on June 2025.The main reason for the year-on-year increase in wholesale prices (total) in July 2025 were higher prices of food, beverages and tobacco, with average prices up 3.5% from July 2024 (-0.6% on June 2025).
