Brazil industry varies 0.1% in June after two consecutive falls

The industrial sector saw a 0.1% increase in June compared to May, following two consecutive months of decline. However, the industry did not offset the 1.2% decline accumulated in April and May. With these results, industrial production is 2.0% above its pre-pandemic level (February 2020), but still 15.1% below the record level reached in May 2011. Compared to June 2024, industrial production fell 1.3%. The data comes from the Monthly Industrial Survey (PIM), released today (1st) by IBGE.
