The number of employed persons increased by 503,300 compared to the previous quarter, reaching 22,268,700. In seasonally adjusted terms, the quarterly rate of change was 0.68%. Employment grew by 584,000 people in the last 12 months. Unemployment fell by 236,100 people, to 2,553,100. In seasonally adjusted terms, it decreased by 2.18%. In the last 12 months, it fell by 202,200 people. The unemployment rate was 10.29% this quarter, 1.07 points lower than the previous quarter.
