In June, prices of products manufactured in Canada, as measured by the Industrial Product Price Index (IPPI), rose 0.4% month over month and increased 1.7% year over year. Meanwhile, prices of raw materials purchased by manufacturers operating in Canada, as measured by the Raw Materials Price Index (RMPI), increased 2.7% month over month and grew 1.1% year over year. The IPPI rose 0.4% month over month in June. The prices of primary non-ferrous metal products rose 2.8% on a monthly basis in June, leading the monthly increase of the IPPI.
