According to preliminary data from the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), real (price-adjusted) production in the manufacturing sector increased by 1.2% in May 2025 compared to April 2025, seasonally and calendar-adjusted. In a less volatile three-month comparison, production from March 2025 to May 2025 was 1.4% higher than in the previous three months. In April 2025, production fell by 1.6% compared to March 2025 (preliminary figure: -1.4%) following revision of the preliminary results.
