Business inventories in the United States remained unchanged in April from the previous month, amounting to $2,656.5 billion, the Census Bureau said in a release on Tuesday. Compared to April 2024, business inventories grew by 2.2%. The total business inventories/sales ratio at the end of April was 1.38, down from 1.40 a year ago. The value of distributive trade sales and manufacturers' shipments for April stood at $1,922.8 billion, down by 0.1% month-on-month and up 3.8% annually. (full story)
