The Monthly Industrial Activity Indicator (IMAI) allows us to understand and monitor the evolution of industrial activity in Mexico. In December 2024, with seasonally adjusted figures, industrial activity decreased by 1.4% compared to last November, in real terms. At an annual rate, it decreased by 2.4 percent. By component, the monthly variation in production was as follows: Construction decreased by 2.1%; Generation, transmission, distribution and marketing of electric energy, water supply and natural gas through pipelines to the final consumer, 1.9%; Manufacturing industries, 1.2% and Mining, 1.0 percent.
